The Lithuanian Metrica is the archive of the chancery of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, consisting of copybooks of charters, court decisions, treaties and other records from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. Most entries are in Ruthenian, with later ones in Latin and Polish. Taken to Russia after the partitions, most of it is now held in Moscow and it is a major source for the history of the grand duchy.
