LuxLeaks
LuxLeaks was a financial scandal revealed in November 2014 by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. Leaked documents from the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers showed that Luxembourg's tax authorities had approved hundreds of advance tax rulings allowing multinational companies to pay very low effective tax rates. The revelations embarrassed Jean-Claude Juncker, prime minister during the period, and prompted EU rules on the exchange of tax rulings.
