Luxor

Also known as Luxor Temple

Luxor is a city on the Nile in Upper Egypt, built on the site of ancient Thebes. Its great temple complexes, including Luxor Temple and nearby Karnak, were developed during the Egyptian New Kingdom. They reflect the wealth and religious importance of Thebes and the cult of Amun in this period.
