Mahavyutpatti
The Mahavyutpatti is a Sanskrit–Tibetan dictionary compiled in imperial Tibet in the early ninth century, under royal patronage, to standardise the translation of Buddhist texts. Its thousands of entries fixed the Tibetan equivalents of Sanskrit terms, giving Tibetan translations of Indian scriptures their remarkable consistency. It is also a valuable source for Buddhist Sanskrit vocabulary.
