Mahipala II
Mahipala II was a king of the Pala dynasty of Bengal in the second half of the eleventh century. According to the Ramacharita he imprisoned his brothers Shurapala and Ramapala, and soon afterwards he was killed in the revolt of the Kaivartas under their leader Divya, who seized Varendra, the dynasty's homeland in northern Bengal. Ramapala later recovered the region.
