Ramacharita
The Ramacharita is a Sanskrit poem written in the twelfth century by Sandhyakara Nandi, in which each verse can be read in two ways: as the story of the god Rama and as the history of the Pala king Ramapala. It is the main source for the revolt of the Kaivartas in northern Bengal and for Ramapala's recovery of Varendra with the help of allied chiefs, whom it names.
