McMahon Line
The McMahon Line is the boundary between Tibet and British India drawn by the British negotiator Henry McMahon and agreed with Tibetan representatives at the Simla Convention of 1914. It follows the crest of the eastern Himalayas for about 890 kilometres. China never accepted it, and it remains the disputed de facto border between India and China in Arunachal Pradesh, one of the causes of the Sino-Indian War of 1962.
