Megarid

The Megarid was the small territory of the ancient Greek city of Megara, on the isthmus between Attica and the Corinthia. Its limited plain and the Geraneia mountains lay on the land route between central Greece and the Peloponnese, which made it a frequent battleground between Athens and Corinth.
