Moravian-Silesian Land

1928–1949 · 20th century

The Moravian-Silesian Land was one of the four lands of interwar Czechoslovakia, created in 1928 by merging Moravia with Czech Silesia, with its capital at Brno. Part of its territory was annexed by Germany in 1938. Restored after the Second World War, it was abolished by the communist regime with effect from 1949, when the historic lands were replaced by regions.
