Namibia
Namibia is a country in south-western Africa, bordering the Atlantic, Angola, Botswana and South Africa, with its capital at Windhoek. It was the German colony of South West Africa from 1884, where the Herero and Nama genocide took place in 1904–08, and was ruled by South Africa from 1915. After a long liberation war led by SWAPO it became independent on 21 March 1990.
