Ndélé
Ndélé is a town in the north of the Central African Republic, capital of Bamingui-Bangoran prefecture. It was built from the 1890s as the fortified capital of Muhammad al-Sanusi, sultan of Dar al-Kuti, whose slave raids fed the trade routes to the north. Remains of his palace and fortifications survive.
