Muhammad al-Sanusi of Dar al-Kuti was sultan of Dar al-Kuti, in what is now the north of the Central African Republic, from 1890 to 1911. Installed with the backing of the warlord Rabih az-Zubayr, he built a fortified capital at Ndele from 1896 and raided the lands to the south for slaves, trading them and ivory north to Wadai.
