Neferhotep I

18th century BCE · 18th century BCE

Neferhotep I was a king of the Thirteenth Dynasty of Egypt who reigned for about eleven years in the mid-eighteenth century BCE, one of the best-attested rulers of the dynasty. Inscriptions record his works at Abydos and in the quarries, and a relief from Byblos shows its ruler as his vassal. He was succeeded by his brothers Sahathor and Sobekhotep IV.
