Oda Nobukatsu

1558–1630 · 17th century

Oda Nobukatsu was the second son of Oda Nobunaga. In 1579 he invaded Iga province without his father's permission and was defeated, an affront that Nobunaga avenged in 1581. After Nobunaga's death he allied with Tokugawa Ieyasu against Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1584 but later submitted, and under the Tokugawa he ended his life as a minor daimyo.
