Oda clan

The Oda were a Japanese samurai clan of Owari Province who served as deputy governors under the Shiba before becoming independent warlords in the 16th century. Under Oda Nobunaga they defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto at Okehazama in 1560, entered Kyoto in 1568 and destroyed the Takeda in 1582, uniting much of central Japan. After Nobunaga's death in 1582 power passed to his general Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
