Ohrigstad
Ohrigstad, originally Andries-Ohrigstad, is a small town in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Voortrekkers under Andries Hendrik Potgieter founded it in 1845 as the capital of a Boer settlement beyond British reach, naming it after Potgieter and the Dutch merchant Georgius Ohrig. Malaria drove the settlers out, and in 1849 they founded Lydenburg as a new centre.
