Pacaritambo
Pacaritambo is a village in Paruro province, Peru, south of Cusco, associated with the Inca origin myth. Spanish chroniclers recorded that the ancestors of the Incas, Manco Capac and his siblings, emerged from the three windows of the cave of Tambo Toco there before travelling north to found Cusco. A rock outcrop nearby, Puma Urqu, has been proposed as the sacred site.
