Paide
Paide, known in German as Weissenstein, is a town in central Estonia and the centre of Järva County. It grew around a castle built by the Livonian Order in 1265, whose octagonal tower, the Vallitorn, has been rebuilt. The town was fought over in the Livonian War and later passed to Sweden and then Russia.
