People's Defence Force
The People's Defence Force is the armed wing of Myanmar's National Unity Government, formed in May 2021 after the military coup. Made up of many local units of volunteers, often trained by ethnic armed organisations, it fights the junta's forces across the country, especially in the Bamar heartland of Sagaing and Magway.
