Pinara

Pinara was a city of ancient Lycia on the western side of the Xanthos valley in south-western Turkey, and one of the six largest members of the Lycian League. It lies below a sheer cliff honeycombed with hundreds of rock-cut tombs, and its ruins include a theatre, an odeon and Lycian house-tombs with carved reliefs. The city declined in the Byzantine period.
