Racial segregation

Racial segregation is the enforced separation of people of different races in housing, public life and rights. The Italian Empire codified racial segregation in its African colonies through a series of laws, particularly after the conquest of Ethiopia. These measures were designed to preserve Italian dominance over the colonised populations.
