Racibórz

Also known as Ratibor

Racibórz (German: Ratibor) is a town in the Silesian Voivodeship of southern Poland, on the upper Oder. From the late 12th century it was a seat of the Piast dukes of Upper Silesia and later the capital of the separate Duchy of Racibórz. After 1742 it belonged to Prussia, and it returned to Poland in 1945.
