Robert Henryson

fl. c. 1460–1500 · 15th century

Robert Henryson was a Scottish poet of the later fifteenth century, probably a schoolmaster at Dunfermline, and one of the makars writing in Scots. His works include the Morall Fabillis, a cycle of animal fables with moral lessons, and The Testament of Cresseid, a sequel to Chaucer's Troilus and Criseyde, which are counted among the finest poetry of medieval Scotland.
