Roger Borsa

c. 1060–1111 · 11th century

Roger Borsa was duke of Apulia and Calabria from 1085, succeeding his father Robert Guiscard in preference to his elder half-brother Bohemond, who was given Taranto. His rule was weakened by rebellious barons and he relied on his uncle Roger I of Sicily. He was succeeded by his son William II.
