Royal Hungary
Royal Hungary was the part of the medieval Kingdom of Hungary ruled by the Habsburg kings after the Battle of Mohács in 1526, consisting of the northern and western lands. With its capital and coronation city at Pressburg (Bratislava), it formed a frontier against Ottoman Hungary and the Principality of Transylvania until the reconquest of the late seventeenth century reunited most of the kingdom under Habsburg rule.
