Saint Beuno
Saint Beuno was a Welsh abbot and missionary of the seventh century, one of the most important saints of north Wales. Tradition holds that he founded a monastery at Clynnog Fawr on the Llŷn peninsula and that he restored his niece Saint Winefride to life. Clynnog became a major pilgrimage centre on the route to Bardsey Island.
