Irish Sea
The Irish Sea lies between Ireland and Great Britain, joined to the Atlantic by the North Channel and St George's Channel, with the Isle of Man near its centre. Since prehistory it has carried trade, migration and raids between Ireland, Wales, Scotland and northern England. In the Viking Age it was dominated by Norse kingdoms such as Dublin.
