Samsu-iluna

Samsu-iluna was king of Babylon and the son and successor of Hammurabi. Shortly after his accession he faced a major rebellion of southern cities led by Rim-Sin II, which he crushed at the cost of destroying the walls of Ur, Uruk and Isin. His reign also saw the breakaway of the Sealand Dynasty in the south, halving the empire.
