Second Italo-Ethiopian War
The Second Italo-Ethiopian War was Fascist Italy's invasion and conquest of Ethiopia in 1935–1936. Italian forces used aircraft and poison gas, and Emperor Haile Selassie went into exile. The League of Nations imposed ineffective sanctions, and the conquest became a centrepiece of the Italian Empire and a defining crisis for the Ethiopian Empire.
