Seventy-Seven Laws
The Seventy-Seven Laws were a code of laws traditionally attributed to Okomfo Anokye, the priest associated with the founding of the Ashanti Empire. Accounts of the Ashanti Empire describe them as a codified constitution for the new state. They were promulgated alongside the establishment of the Golden Stool as the symbol of Asante unity.
