Sharahbil Ya'fur

5th century · 5th century

Sharahbil Ya'fur was a king of Himyar in south Arabia in the mid-5th century, a son of Abikarib As'ad. A long inscription records his major repairs to the Marib Dam in the 450s, after a breach. He continued his father's monotheist cult of Rahmanan and the Himyarite claim over the tribes of central Arabia.
