Si Renfa
Si Renfa was ruler of Mong Mao, a Shan state on the borders of present-day Yunnan and Myanmar, in the early 15th century. His expansion against neighbouring Chinese-recognised chieftaincies provoked the Ming dynasty, which launched the Luchuan-Pingmian campaigns from 1436 to 1449. He fled to Ava, which eventually handed him over to the Ming, and his kingdom fragmented.
