Person
Siamun
Siamun was a king of the Twenty-first Dynasty of Egypt, ruling from Tanis for about nineteen years in the 10th century BCE. He enlarged the temple of Amun at Tanis and built at Memphis. A relief showing a pharaoh smiting a foe, apparently holding a Philistine axe, suggests a campaign in Philistia, and some scholars identify him with the pharaoh who in the Bible captured Gezer and gave it to Solomon.
