Siyannu
Siyannu was a small Late Bronze Age kingdom on the Syrian coast south of Ugarit, around modern Tell Siyannu near Jableh. Long a dependency of Ugarit, it was detached from Ugaritic control by the Hittite king Mursili II in the late fourteenth century BCE and placed under the authority of the Hittite viceroy at Carchemish, reducing Ugarit's territory.
