The Siyasatnama, or Book of Government, is a Persian treatise on statecraft written by Nizam al-Mulk, the vizier of the Seljuk Empire. It advises rulers on justice, administration and military affairs. Accounts of the Seljuk Empire note its emphasis on professional standing armies and describes it as a foundational text of Islamic political theory.
