Sudarshana Lake
Sudarshana Lake was an ancient reservoir near Junagadh in Saurashtra, Gujarat, built under the Maurya emperor Chandragupta by his governor Pushyagupta and improved under Ashoka. Its history is recorded in inscriptions on the Girnar rock: Rudradaman I of the Western Satraps repaired it after a storm breached the dam in the 2nd century CE, and a governor of Skandagupta restored it again in 456. Its exact site is no longer certain.
