Suleja
Suleja is a town in Niger State, Nigeria, just north of the Federal Capital Territory. It was founded around 1828 as Abuja by the exiled Hausa rulers of Zazzau after the Fulani jihad and remained the seat of their emirate. It was renamed Suleja in 1976, when the name Abuja was given to the new federal capital.
