Süleyman Pasha (Candarid)

Süleyman Pasha was a ruler of the Candarid beylik in northern Anatolia in the early 14th century, son of its founder Şemseddin Yaman Candar. In 1309 he killed the last Chobanid ruler and took Kastamonu, which became the Candarid capital, and around 1322 he added the Black Sea port of Sinop. His descendants ruled the beylik until the Ottoman annexation of 1461.
