Svarožič

Also known as Svarozhich, Zuarasici

Svarožič was a West Slavic god whose temple at Rethra, among the Lutici, is described by Thietmar of Merseburg around 1015 under the name Zuarasici. His name means 'son of Svarog', and he is often linked with fire or the sun. The missionary Bruno of Querfurt also names him in 1008 as a god of the pagan Slavs.
