Taihe (Nanzhao)
Taihe was the first capital of the kingdom of Nanzhao, built under Piluoge in the 730s on the western shore of Erhai Lake, south of modern Dali in Yunnan, China. It served as the royal seat until 779, when the capital moved to Yangjumie. Its ruins include the Dehua stele of 766, which records Nanzhao's break with the Tang dynasty.
