Tarikh al-Sudan
The Tarikh al-Sudan is a chronicle of West Africa written in Arabic at Timbuktu by Abd al-Rahman al-Sadi and completed around 1655. It records the history of the Songhai Empire, the Moroccan conquest of 1591 and the rule of the pashas, as well as the lives of the scholars of Timbuktu and Djenne. With the Tarikh al-Fattash, it is the most important local source for the history of the Niger bend.
