Treaty of Paris (1815)
The Treaty of Paris of November 1815 was signed after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo and his Hundred Days. It reduced France to its 1790 borders, imposed an indemnity and an allied army of occupation. A convention signed alongside it placed the Ionian Islands under British protection as the United States of the Ionian Islands.
