Treaty of Stettin (1570)
The Treaty of Stettin, signed on 13 December 1570, ended the Northern Seven Years' War between Sweden and Denmark-Norway, allied with Lübeck. Neither side made lasting territorial gains: Denmark gave up its claims to Sweden, Sweden renounced its claims to Norway and other Danish lands, and Sweden agreed to pay a large ransom to recover the fortress of Älvsborg.
