Truc Lam Zen
Truc Lam Zen is a Vietnamese school of Zen Buddhism founded at the end of the 13th century by the retired emperor Tran Nhan Tong, who became a monk on Mount Yen Tu. It combined Chan meditation with Confucian and native traditions and is regarded as the first school of Buddhism founded by Vietnamese rather than foreign teachers. It declined after the Tran dynasty and was revived in the 20th century.
