1581–1637 · 17th century · Also known as Choghtu Khong Tayiji

Tsogt Taij, known in other sources as Choghtu Khong Tayiji, was a Khalkha Mongol prince and poet who supported the Karma Kagyu school against the Gelug in the religious wars of Tibet. He moved to the Kokonor region in the 1630s but was defeated and killed in 1637 by Güshi Khan of the Khoshut, ally of the Gelug.
