Tughlugh Timur
Tughlugh Timur was khan of Moghulistan, the eastern part of the Chagatai Khanate, from 1347 to 1363. Raised to the throne by the Dughlat amir Puladchi, he converted to Islam around 1354, reportedly with many of his followers. He invaded Transoxiana in 1360 and 1361, installing his son Ilyas Khoja there, and the young Timur first rose to prominence in his service.
