Visoko
Visoko is a town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Bosna river, north-west of Sarajevo. In the Middle Ages its area was the political heart of the Bosnian state: the bans and kings held court nearby, Tvrtko I was crowned at Mile in 1377, and the fortress of Visoki overlooked a trading town used by Ragusan merchants. In the Ottoman period it became known for its leather industry.
