Wagria
Wagria is a historical region in eastern Holstein, Germany, between the Bay of Kiel and the Bay of Lübeck, named after the Wagrians, a West Slavic people of the Obotrite confederation whose chief centre was Starigard (Oldenburg). Count Adolf II of Holstein conquered it in the 1130s and 1140s, settled it with Germans, Flemings and Frisians and founded Lübeck in 1143.
