Yoweri Museveni

Yoweri Museveni is a Ugandan politician and former rebel leader who has been President of Uganda since 1986. Born in Ankole, he fought against Idi Amin and then led the National Resistance Army in the Ugandan Bush War, which brought him to power. He restored the traditional kingdoms as cultural institutions in 1993, and constitutional changes removed term and age limits on his presidency.
