Aberffraw
Aberffraw is a village on the south-west coast of Anglesey that served as the chief royal seat of the kings and princes of Gwynedd in the Middle Ages. Llywelyn the Great used the title 'Prince of Aberffraw and Lord of Snowdon' from about 1230. Little of the royal court survives; its timbers were taken for Beaumaris Castle in the early 14th century.
